Precision Health podcast: Social network affects well-being

IU researcher explains how a person's social network affects their well-being

Indiana University distinguished professor of sociology Bernice Pescosolido, PhD, leader of the IU Grand Challenge Precision Health Initiative's "Person to Person Health Interview Study," was recently interviewed by IU School of Medicine's Aaron Carroll, MD, as part of our monthly podcast series. Led by Pescosolido, specially trained field interviewers are going door-to-door statewide to collect information from Indiana residents about the environmental, social, genetic and behavioral factors that affect their lives and health. The study aims to use this data to help bring Precision Health research outcomes to all Indiana residents.
